Allow me to introduce myself.  I am a painter and Associate Professor in the Studio Arts Department at the University of Pittsburgh.  I also serve as an Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Studies in the School of Arts & Sciences.  My avocation is that of a folk music host having produced a weekly radio program for the past 20 years for WYEP 91.3 FM in Pittsburgh.  The program, An American Sampler, airs Sunday evening from 5:00 - 7:00 (eastern time) and is dedicated to folk music and acoustic blues.  My wife, Dr. Martica Hall, and I are parents to our young son Gabriel and live in the Regent Square neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  In the following pages, you can learn a bit more about me and view examples of my paintings.
